‘Jacare’ Souza’s manager criticizes Vitor Belfort for picking opponents, offers to replace him in interim title bout your sports feeder

Vitor Belfort was offered an interim title bout with Lyoto Machida when Chris Weidman pulled out from UFC 184 with a rib injury, but “The Phenom” turned down the fight. Fellow middleweight contender Ronaldo Souza is willing to step up and replace him against anyone if that’s what the UFC wants.

Souza is undefeated in the UFC with four wins in a row, capped off by a third-round submission over Gegard Mousasi. Jacare’s manager Gilbert Faria believes that an interim title has to be created after another injury from the middleweight champion, and Belfort should not choose who he wants to fight.

Jon Jones does not believe "class act" Bill Cosby is guilty of claims

Jon Jones expects the damning accusations against renowned comic Bill Cosby aren’t accurate — and he does not consider they’re. Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by at least 15 distinct girls. TMZ cameras caught Jones outside LAX and asked him what he thought of the allegations.”I do not believe Bill Cosby would do that,” the UFC light heavyweight champ said. “I have never met him, but from what I have seen he appears to be a class act. I kind of grew up respecting him as a black performer and that i actually expect that is not accurate.”Jones, not taking the dialogue quite seriously, additionally did an imitation of Cosby from his Jello advertisements and insinuated the “Cosby Show” star did not want to assault girls, because he was loaded.”he is Bill Cosby — he should not have to take it,” a laughing Jones said, making a giving-away-cash gesture with his hands. Netflix, TV Land and NBC have all cut ties with Cosby, foregoing prospective future jobs. The 77-year old has never been convicted nor even tried for any alleged offenses.

Cung Le proclaims innocence, blames failure on "unreliability" of testing

Not only is Cung Le questioning the results of the test which led to his suspension for usage of human growth hormone, he’s questioning the testing procedure itself.

The 42-year old Le was suspended for a year by the UFC following his TKO loss to Michael Bisping in August at UFC Fight Night 48. Because the event was held in Macau, People’s Republic of China, which has no athletic commission, the UFC administered the tests on their own.

"Jacare" Souza"s strategies have not changed despite Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort postponement

Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort will not occur on Dec. 6 after all, but that will not alter Ronaldo Souza’s strategies.

“Jacare”, who scored his fourth straight triumph below the UFC banner using a third-round entry over Gegard Mousasi in September, will still work to be the ‘plan B’ in case something occurs to Belfort before his title fight against Weidman in February.

"Jacare" Souza anticipated "more demanding fight" against Gegard Mousasi

Ronaldo Souza controlled Gegard Mousasi to win his fourth fight in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 50 in Connecticut, and he was not expecting to end Mousasi.

“I was waiting to get a five-round fight,” Souza told MMAFighting.com. “I was prepared to get a tougher fight. I had been training to get a tougher fight. I desired to submit him, obviously, but I was not expecting to submit him. I used to be expecting a tougher fight. He’s got an enormous name, a great record, and he was coming off a huge win over Mark Munoz, and so I respected him a lot.”

UFC wins ratings battle on Friday night, but Bellator comes close in head-to-head period

Based on preliminary numbers, it’s hard to come to a conclusion as to what it meant for Bellator and UFC to go head-to-head on Friday night, past that it doesn’t appear either hurt the other significantly, and that each product looks to have more of its own audience as opposed to an audience that switched back-and-forth.

Overall, the UFC show from Ledyard, Conn., headlined by Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza’s win over Gegard Mousasi, did 911,000 viewers on average between when the main card started at 10 p.m. and the conclusion of the main event. That number was well ahead of what UFC had done the previous two Saturday nights with a Benson Henderson vs. Rafael dos Anjos led UFC Fight Night (689,000) and the UFC 177 prelims (an unusually low 436,000). Even with the competition, it was well ahead of what they average on either Saturdays or Wednesdays. It was also a show with more familiar names — like Alistair Overeem, Ben Rothwell, Matt Mitrione and Joe Lauzon – than most Fight Nights, so it should have done better than average.

Speaking publicly for the first time since a Florida judge dropped all charges levied against him stemming from an alleged early-February altercation with his ex-wife, newly re-signed UFC fighter Thiago Silva denied any wrongdoing and suggested that the alleged victim, Thaysa Kamiji, falsified the accusations which ultimately led to his arrest.

“The truth is they didn’t find no proof,” Silva said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “I never pointed any gun at my ex-wife, I never tried to hurt (her). Everything she said was a lie. So that’s the truth. The state, they couldn’t prove another thing, so that’s the truth.
